I know my fashion posts usually arrive on Fridays, but I wanted to give you all a dose of style one day early this week. Next week my normal posting sched/Fashion Friday will resume. :)

Summer has brought a surge of color to my wardrobe, and that’s very apparent in my blog posts. I’ve been pairing bright patterned tops with bold pants and skirts, but I seem to have forgotten about my wardrobe essentials. I gave my v-neck white tee some love when I posted about making your white tee more versatile, but since then my basics have been long forgotten, folded neatly in a dresser drawer never seeing the light of day.

When I went shopping for a new dress the other day (don’t worry, there WILL be an outfit post for it soon), I couldn’t help but notice this great basic tee at H&M. When I took a gander at the price tag, it was love. I gawked at the $12.95 price tag and headed to the fitting room (not feeling guilty about picking up something I hadn’t come to the mall looking for because the price was right). The tee was perfect, soft and not too sheer, ideal for the end of summer and beginning of fall so I had to have it. I’m hoping this great tee can motivate me to get out my basics more often, because sometimes you just need to throw on something comfy and effortless.

What pieces in your wardrobe have you been neglecting? How do you remix your wardrobe to get more wear out of your basics?
