Rock it for Fall Fridays: Colored Denim

Who says you can’t bring your favorite colored skinnies with you into fall? If you’re anything like me, then you’ve built a substantial collection of colored denim over the duration of the summer months and probably aren’t ready to give it up. While I usually trade summer brights for muted earthy tones come fall, I’m reconsidering my approach this year and doing my best to extend the life of everything in my summer wardrobe.

For the summer to fall transitional weather, I chose to pair my colored denim with this bright polka dotted cardigan. If this look is too bold for you, you could easily swap out the cardigan for a creme or tan sweater. The peter pan collar tank helps make this outfit feel more “fall” and the cardigan provides added warmth for cooler temperatures. The great thing about colored skinnies is that they already cover your legs, so to transition them into fall and winter all you need are cozy layers.
